Workin on the lake

M and T were off school yesterday and it just so happens that it was the day before sturgeon spearing opened here in WI. So M,T and daddy headed out to the lake w/grampa Soup,uncles Dave and Steve and Aunt Emily and Tammy and gramma's cousin Tom(it's a family affair).

This was the 1st that our children have seen the prep of spearing..the cutting of ice,hauling of ice shanty's etc.

When they got back I ask T how the lake was..T: dad didn't take us to the lake,we didn't even get the boat out of the shed. Me: we'll you drove out on the ice didn't you?and cut holes? T: yes Me: what did you see under the ice? T: water and fish Me:that was the lake silly in the winter its frozen b/c its cold. T: ohhhhhhh! Me:(laughing)
