4H "field trip"

The kids 4H group recently took a trip to a WI creamery that opened recently. It was a very neat tour. We got to watch as they explained the process from milking there very own cows, sending out the milk for processing and it coming back as a " special mix" that they use to make there very own ice cream recipe...way cool! While we were there we got to make and eat a batch of ice cream, they picked chocolate chip w/cookie dough..it was so good.

M,C and T with there hair nets and booties on....ready to enter the icecream making room:-)
One of the owners with the bag of "mix" used to make the ice cream.

Adding the flavor syrup to the machine ,after the above bag of mix was poured in.
Showing us the molds w/there version of a "Dilly bar" in the molds while we are waiting for the machine to mix and freeze our ice cream.

Adding the "mix in's " as the ice cream comes out.

Enjoying the finial product-our farm fresh...or creamery fresh ice cream. Hmmmm I'm thinking it just might be worth the drive to take our kids back this summer for a little treat...and they do farm tours to....hmmmm not a bad plan for summer.
